In the haze of the post-turkey feast last night, only one thing kept us awake – Isaac, Donald and The Apprentice.  The final four were duking it out in the last challenge before the finale by appearing on-air selling Isaac Mizrahi’s line for QVC.  We won’t take sides by proclaiming our favorite to win this season, but we have no problem saying which pieces of Isaac’s line we love.

Brandy and Liza presented Isaac’s Mother of Pearl watch. We’ve been obsessed lately with oversized watches, but finding one that’s both chunky yet feminine is always a challenge.  With that perfect balance of both, and three band options (black, white and pink embossed leather), it’s hard not to buy all three.

The men went with Isaac’s leather domed satchel. It seemed like the perfect piece to take with you anywhere, but when Steuart opened up the black one, we just about flipped for the Mizrahi pink lining.  Ultimately the guys lost the challenge and Steaurt was fired, but lucky for us we can still get Isaac’s amazing bag (also in paprika, dijon and deep purple) over at QVC!

SeenON! sat down with Johnny of Bravo’s The Fashion Show this week to talk about what it feels like to be eliminated right before the finals (ouch)! Read on to hear Johnny’s point of view.

SO!: You didn’t seem too excited when it came time to partner up with the eliminated designers – how was it working with Angel? How helpful was she?

J: Working with Angel was okay.  It felt a little awkward for her, because I know she is loyal to Reco. You could tell she felt like she deserved to still be there.

This week, SeenON! connected with fashion expert Erika Stanley of SNOB Style  to dish about episode 7 of Bravo’s The Fashion Show, discuss the good ol’ “walk of shame” and talk about what it takes to design for a big name in the industry.

SO!: In this week’s Harper’s Bazaar mini challenge, the designers were asked to clean up a “walk of shame” look and create something acceptable for the office. What are some simple tips that you can offer girls in a crunch to help them make the events from the night before not so obvious?

ES: I would say take a few things with you. Incorporate basics into your outfit so that you can “Macgyver it up” to work from day to night or night to day.  Bringing along a scarf or tights can make it more of a daytime look. Layering is definitely key.

Keith has already had great success as a designer with celebrities such as Emmy Rossum, Taryn Manning, Janet Jackson and Natasha Beddingfield wearing his collection. Although we will no longer be seeing him on the show, it was great to hear what he had to say about guiding characters, his new Keith by Keith Lissner line and advice for fellow designers.

Today, SeenON! sat down to chat with designer Andrew Christian from The Fashion Show. In last night’s elimination, the judges just weren’t buying Andrew’s shoe challenge runway piece – but he’s not going to let that stop him! Andrew, better known as the “Panty-Christ”, already has a successful underwear line under his belt and stays optimistic about a bright future in fashion.

SO!: This is the first week we see the designers break out of their groups as Isaac Mizrahi announces that “from here on out [the designers] will be competing as individuals.” What did you like and not like about how the competition changed?

AC: I liked being on my own and not having to compromise my design for the other contestants. What I didn’t like is the cattiness that came out in people once they were working by themselves!

New host of Bravo’s The Fashion Show

Right after Isaac Mizrahi’s first collection for Liz Claiborne hit stores, First Lady Michelle Obama got her hands on a white ruffle blouse from the collection.

SeenON! had a wonderful interview with Bravo’s The Fashion Show designer, Markus Ketty, who was eliminated from episode 3. Markus who has quite the fashion pedigree, was in good spirits despite being asked to leave and being referred to as a “dreamer.”

Last night The Fashion Show debuted on Bravo, and I can’t tell you how excited I was to see the show. So excited, in fact, that I was able to convince my boyfriend (who is so completely not the target audience for this show) to watch it with me.

The show clearly had to differ itself, and Bravo did a great job doing so. Here’s what I thought were the freshest twists:

Harper’s Bazaar Mini Challenges – These are totally Quick Fire Challenges a la Top Chef. Very creative and fun to watch the designers under pressure.  I must admit I was confused by Laura Brown’s accent, but that’s a-okay because she was responsible for the spread on The Simpsons in Paris, and I am forever amused by that piece.

Designers are judged by an audience of buyers and fashion insiders! – Totally unique twist. I loved hearing what the show attendees had to say after the fashion show. Now if I could fandangle a way to get the boyfriend into that audience. His utter confusion and commentary over the Harlem pants (or Hammer Pants, as he likes to refer to them as) was priceless and would make for some good TV.

Isaac Mizrahi  and Kelly Rowland – Not going to lie, but I was a little scared when I heard that Isaac Mizrahi was going to be a host.  Flashbacks to the Scarlett Johansson red carpet incident immediately came to mind. However, I think that he did an amazing job balancing host and fashion icon He gave straightforward advice in a very mellow and calming way.

Backstage at the fashion show - Great perspective. This truly showed what goes on backstage at a fashion show in its true light. Oh, and watching the models have to squeeze into the tube skirts made me feel so much better about myself.

The music – This is totally minor, but music in reality competition shows makes such a difference. I mean, I still get a knot in my stomach when I hear the Top Chef theme music (oh Fabio, how I miss thee). Seriously, the drum beats were very cool and refreshing for a show of such stress.
