Oh, do we have scoop for you, Private Practice fans. Of the handbag variety (the very best kind!) We wanted to give you the deets on a bag Addison Montgomery is carrying in tonight’s episode, ‘What Women Want,’ as well as some insight into all the fabulous handbags all the women in Private Practice have been carrying all season long.

In the first scene in the show, Addison is walking by the beach with a super-cute gold clutch by Lockheart (above). (In case you’re wondering, she’s also wearing a fun printed strapless dress and cardigan by J.Crew - but unfortunately the dress has sold out!) Here’s the costume details:

Many of you have been asking us about the handbags from the show this season. We are pleased to tell you that, with few exceptions, the bags have all been by Lockheart. It’s not a widespread brand, though they do carry them at Saks Fifth Avenue from time to time. We’ve also spotted a few of the bags on Bag, Borrow or Steal. Best bet? Hey there - We absolutely love the handbag Naomi was carrying on Private Practice, too. It’s by a brand called “Lockheart” and we think it’s from the 2007 collection. We found one reference to it online, but sadly, Saks Fifth Avenue no longer carries the style online. We suggest calling Lockheart and seeing which stores carry the style: www.lockheart.com. Naomi Bennett’s style on Private Practice is usually pretty subtle (especially compared with designer-happy Addison), but our eyes were definitely on her cool Missoni sweater dress on the ‘Past Tense’ episode. We love the gray, black and white color scheme for work, and definitely adore the classic Missoni zig-zag weave.
