At lunch with Heidi and her family, Spencer tries to gain some ground with Bill, who proves to be hard to win over.
Heidi tells Spencer that her "real cowboy, manly-man" dad Bill is coming to town, and Spencer will be the first boyfriend he's ever met. She cautions Spencer to be nice.
Heidi's dad Bill wasn't too thrilled about Spencer eloping with Heidi, but he eventually warms up and invites Spencer to hang out one-on-one.
Lauren tells Brody during dinner that she has to fire Stephanie the next day, to which Brody responds, "I told you so."
Brody cautions Lauren that her firing Stephanie may ruin their friendship.
Spencer pleads his case to Heidi's dad, Bill, as he tries to get permission to marry Heidi.
Bill gives Spencer permission to marry Heidi, but cautions, "Remember your father-in-law carries a big gun."
"When you mess up, obviously these are the consequences," a tearful Stephanie says to Lauren after Lauren fires her.
Lauren engulfs Stephanie in a big hug before Stephanie leaves People's Revolution after her firing.
Stephanie tells Heidi about Lauren firing her and wonders how it will affect their friendship.
While out to lunch with Lo, Lauren also talks about firing Stephanie. "I don't know if I've ever made somebody cry before," Lauren says.
Lo tells Lauren that no matter what happens, Lauren did what she had to do in a tough situation.
Spencer takes Heidi on a Ferris wheel ride at Santa Monica pier where he tells her that he got permission from her dad to marry her.

This just in! On tonight’s episode of The Hills, Kelly Cutrone asks Lauren to fire Stephanie from People’s Revolution! And while Stephanie may not have the chops for the cutthroat world of fashion, she sure does look adorable in this Juicy Couture cardigan. Layered over an American Apparel tank and paired with Current/Elliot boyfriend jeans, a Chanel bag and a vintage necklace, we think Stephanie couldn’t have chosen a better, brighter look for what should otherwise be a very sour day.
