Clearly Rihanna is a follower of this rule as she was spotted in New York City–not sulking in sweats–but looking absolutely fierce in a white corset and  distressed J Brand jeans. Rihanna is known for being a fearless fashionista, and although not everyone can work a corset like a pop star, these J Brand jeans are totally cute and wearable.

Rihanna completed her look with some metallic heels. We love the Michael Kors Niki Sandals, which are similar to Rihanna’s. We think that Rihanna looks totally hot. Take that, Chris Brown!
