One of the perks of my gig here at SeenON! is getting to watch advanced episodes of my favorite shows. So you can only imagine my delight when I saw Top Chef Season 2 contestant Sam Talbot‘s appearance on The Real Housewives of New York City. Of course, I couldn’t run out and blog about it until now, which left me in a total state of disarray. (I get so overwhelmed when my favorite televison shows combine).
What was great about Talbot being featured on the show was the t-shirt that he was wearing. (And not to mention his good lucks and skills in the kitchen, but I digress). As it turns out, Sam was sporting the Project E – Feed the Models shirt which isn’t some cheesy message tee , but rather a shirt supporting a very important organization called EDIN. EDIN is the the Eating Disorder Information Network which aims to prevent anorexia, bulimia, compulsive overeating and other eating disorders through outreach, awareness and action. The organization is based out of Georgia, but everyone can get involved through volunteering or making a donation.
Thanks Sam, for using your appearance wisely! And please come again

Fashion Spoiler Alert! (sound the alarms).
On tonight’s episode of Real Housewives of New York everyone’s favorite housewife Bethenny Frankel lands the cover of Social Life Magazine and she looks fabulous! I am a super fan of Bethenny’s self-described “classic, flirty and slighty sexy” style, and I HAD to get the scoop on what she was wearing on this shoot.

Let’s start with the dress on the cover. This adorable pink number is from New York based Malaysian fashion designer, Zang Toi.

Second up – Bethenny’s purple polka dot dress. This number is from Tibi and is available online – Hooray!

Lastly – the light blue dress with brown accents. This dress is from designer Nicole Hanley, who was once a Ralph Lauren stylist. When in New York make sure to visit her boutique eponymously named Hanley.
Now you too can have the Socialite Style!

I officially made the internal shift from Real Housewives of OC (although I still can’t get over the reunion show) when the inevitable happened! LuAnn corrected someone on how to address her… No No – the other inevitable - Simon and Alex went on a shopping spree (pre-Obama stimulus). And as much as I would like to see them shopping on my recession budget, it was equally enjoyable to see this team drop $8k at Blue & Cream in the Hamptons. So in the spirit of investigative journalism, I had to get to the dirt on this RHNYC expedition and I phoned up Jeff Goldstein, owner of Blue&Cream.
Jeff, featured on this episode, told me about the items the first couple of Brooklyn purchased and where you can buy them…

Simon’s loafers – These are the “Summer Loafers” by fin’s. The store carries them in a variety of colors in case you don’t want to go Simon Green…as much as Alex liked them.

Alex’s Swimsuit – You know you were curious about it when she came out of the dressing room – admit it. Jeff told me that this fabulous swimsuit is from Abaete. And in case you ever wondered how to pronounce the brand name – it is “ah-BYE-ah-tay”. Thank me when you look hip in front of your friends…

Simon’s seersucker suit – this suit is by Rag & Bone from the Spring/Summer 08 collection. Also available at Blue & Cream.
And of course, Alex’s Herve Leger Bandage Dress. We have come full circle. In the early part of Real Housewives of Orange County Gretchen and Lynne were trying on Herve Leger dresses at Intermix and now, Alex was seen trying them on at Blue & Cream. Alas, all is well in this world.
Happy Shopping!
