We all know the bag makes the outfit but designer Lauren Scherr takes it one step further…her bags actually are the outfit. A favorite designer of the wardrobe department at Desperate Housewives, Scherr infuses a bit of whimsy and fun into each of her expertly crafted handmade creations. I met Lauren last year at a special holiday sale on Wisteria Lane (yes actually in THE street) and walked away with gifts for every woman in my family (thank goodness for wholesale!) . Not to be left out here are my highlights from our launch festivities at the Boulevard3. My favorite guest would have to be Jennifer Bryan, the costume designer from “Las Vegas”. Not only are her & her team a joy to work with, her enthusiasm is contagious for fashion. She not only generously let us borrow some “Las Vegas” fashions to make the party style shine she was so tickled to meet one of her favorite designers from “Project Runway,” Mychael Knight. When it turned out he was a big fan of hers’ as well…it was a love fest all around. Also to be noted were the girls from “The Hills” Lauren & Audrina who couldn’t have been sweeter. I gotta say that I wasn’t expecting much from reality stars, especially ones their age, but they handled themselves well & were grateful & gracious. I guess there is hope for the future of television after all.

Despite wearing enough eye shadow to supply a small drugstore for a year, Paris Hilton looks HOT in her new music video! Her wardrobe ranges from a 1920’s-style bathing suit to a leopard-print bikini and silk white halter dress. Proof positive she can look OK provided someone else selects her wardrobe. The only thing she wears in the video that can’t be bought is that buff guy (who is that?). In the end, I’m just left with one question: Is that really her singing? “I don’t mind too many guys,” Paris says in the refrain. At least she’s honest.
